Forgetful Face

Back in April, I went out with this guy. It was the only time we went out, and things fizzled (I gave up after a few sporadic phone calls). Being the MySpace whore I am, I was clicking through random people's pages on a search for someone in particular. Lo and behold, I stumbled across his page. On a whim, I thought I would message him to say hi. I got a reply back fairly quickly. He didn't remember me, but I did look familiar. And if he didn't know me, he wouldn't be opposed to getting to know me. I laughed, but a part of me was disheartened that I hadn't made much of an impression.

Out of all the dates I have been on, I considered ours to be a memorable one. We went out for dinner followed by coffee and before we even realized, it was almost midnight. We were talking and our conversation flowed so nicely that we didn't even notice the hours that flew by. I even got a quick ride on his bike (as in motorcycle...we weren't pedaling down U.S. 41 sharing a banana seat). So you can see where I would be slightly disappointed that our date wasn't so memorable to him.

Apparently, he had a flashback because he did call me apologizing. I guess I don't look like me with a hat on. To make a long story short, he said he was glad I contacted him, he was still interested, and asked if I was interested in going for a longer bike ride. I am the queen of giving people the benefit of the doubt (a quality that's gotten me fucked over several times, yet I can't help it) and naturally, I said yes.

We shall see what happens.
