My aunt works for a large dealership here in town and they provided her with tickets to see the 26th Annual Florida International Air Show. Since my parents were out of town, she asked me to go with her.
Sunday morning we got up fairly early and drove to the airport. It was hotter than hell and there wasn't a cloud to be found in the sky. Luckily, the dealership had their own tent there for employees and friends. And let's not forget the free food and lemonade they were providing. Between beer runs and running away from the blistering sun, I met a couple of my aunt's co-workers, including the owner and a couple of other unremarkable people.
One of her co-workers caught my eye because 1.) he was really tall 2.) he resembled Tiger Woods a little bit and 3.) my aunt has a thing for African American dudes so I knew she'd be flirting. His name was Damian and his girlfriend was Mindy who, being short, cute and blonde, did not quite match him (at least in my superficial mind). They had two or three kids with them who may or may not have been their kids together. Damian mingled with us while Mindy controlled the kids. My aunt introduced us and then Damian offered to buy my aunt and I some beer. We didn't really see him much for the rest of the day, but hey, at least he was good for a beer, right?
I got home from work last night and my aunt told me that Damian was asking about me. He told her I was cute and wondered if I would go out with him. I nearly choked on my dinner as I laughed. Apparently, he was telling the other guys at work how my aunt has a hot niece that he would love to take out.
Dude, you obviously have a girlfriend and some kids. How would that make me want to go out with you? Sure, you're cute and all, you dress nice, AND you bought me beer. But unfortunately, having a girlfriend and a handful of kids is a deal breaker for me. There is not one thing about you that is single and available. You might as well wear a sign that says "Baggage here." And to make matters worse, you obviously have a wandering eye if you are asking about other chicks when you clearly are attached. It's a shame...but nope, not interested.
