Muffin tops should be kept to the bakeries

I've seriously been thinking about starting the Nutrisystem or a similar diet, because 1) I'm getting fat 2) I'm lazy and don't cook well for myself and 3) I spend way too much on lunch during the week. Right now, I spend right around $7 a day on lunch if I don't brown bag it (which is not very often). For around $10 a day, I can go with the Nutrisystem diet and ensure that I am eating to lose weight. I don't have a lot of time to myself during the day, so not having to prepare meals ahead of time would be fantastic. However, after reading some reviews, people say that Nutrisystem is gross and extremely high in sodium.

So, I guess some research is in order to figure out the healthiest, easiest, most cost efficient way to eat my meals during the week. If only the Publix by my office had fresh sushi like the one by my house, I would eat there just about every day. See, if Boo would just smarten up and realize that me staying there seven days a week rather than three is really no different, I would have time to cook lunches and dinners for us both, his house would be much cleaner, AND exercise would be a no-brainer (wink, wink).

My mom, who is actually skinny and doesn't need to diet, started Nutrisystem...she says it tasted like cardboard and she'll never do it again. She'll do the portion control and 6 meals a day...but she can do it with yummier food. I can email you the outline for it when she emails it to me if you'd like.
I had sushi yesterday for lunch...it was fab!!!

The BF and I make lunches together when I stay there...and he always puts it in a little bag and puts a nutrigrain bar in there for me too...so cute.
Now if he would only write me a love note on a napkin...

Yeah my mom tried nutrisystem and the food was utterly disgusting. Have you seen those eDiets commercials about their food delivery plan? It looks like the food might be better but also it's kind of $$$...like $15 a day.

C'mon Slambs. You're pretty resourceful. Just read up on what you should be eating. This diet (or any diet in which food is prepared for you) reeks of laziness. That's NOT how you lose weight. Cook good meals, ditch the tube for 45 mins and take a walk. But don't lose those beautiful boobs. :)

If you are looking for cheap, fast, easy and good for you, I highly reccommend the frozen meals made by Seeds of Change. They run about $4 at the "natural" grocery store (Wild Oats or Sunflower here)and are all natural organic and healthy - ranging from 300-400 calories. Throw in a peice of fruit and some mini carrots or whatever and you have a pretty good easy lunch. :-)
(And I would guess probably much better for you than Nutrisystem stuff)
