I'm sitting here in the office, completely bored and jamming to some tunes. I keep it on a radio station that doesn't play the same ten songs in rotation every hour. When I'm bored like this, my mind tends to wander to far off places. Today, with every song that played, it brought back a memory. So I thought I'd share some of those memories and the songs that inspired them.
"November Rain" by Guns n' Roses: My first slow dance with my 6th grade boyfriend. R.I.P. Jesse.
"Round Here" by Counting Crows: Right after Jesse died.
"How Do U Want It" by Tupac: Losing my virginity...how romantic, right?
"Don't Speak" by No Doubt: Breaking up with the scum-sucker of a boyfriend that took my virginity at the tender age of 15.
"Feelin' Love" by Paula Cole: Sweet sixteen...doin' the naughty with my high school sweetheart.
"Cowboy Take Me Away" by the Dixie Chicks: My freshman year in college, Halloween was a damn good time. A hot senior dressed up as a cowboy. My roommate and I serenaded him with this song.
"Sex on the Beach" by T-Spoon: Grinding with a pole at Meghan's Lounge with my best friend and getting kicked out for being too drunk.
"Phenomenon" by LL Cool J: Freshman year...my first striptease from my boyfriend who was wearing army fatigues.
"I'm Real" remix by Jennifer Lopez and Ja Rule: My junior year in college, I lived in a trailer (yes, a trailer in Vermont) with five girls. No party was complete without this song playing in rotation.
"Good Morning, Beautiful" by Steve Holy: Junior year...my homewrecking roommate was serenaded with this after some man-scum cheated on his fiancee with her. She played in non-stop after that.
"Dilemma" by Nelly and Kelly: Driving aalllll the way from Florida to Vermont. I heard it at least 100 times.
"Like I Love You" by Justin Timberlake: Senior year...our dance team practiced a dance to this over and over and over. My roommate and I also watched the video over and over wanting to f*ck his brains out.
"When I'm Gone" by Three Doors Down: Finding out my friends, including my high school sweetheart, got deployed overseas.
....just to name a few
